Tall Twins

A pair of tall duplexes

Situated on an odd hillside site in north Portland, the project takes the duplex configuration vertical. Each building contains two lofted units stacked on one another. The hill allows one resident to enter from above the the other from below. This confutation is then multiplied with the additional of a slightly identical “twin” containing the same program. The space between the buildings become a protected courtyard everyone to use.
