Portland Twenty
Portland, ORTwenty units on a single family lot
Portland Twenty is a small-scale multi-family housing building that generates right-sized neighborhood density within the constraints of a typical urban single-family residential lot. The project replaces one house with twenty living spaces on a 5,000 SF parcel, effectively providing a new strategy for addressing the housing crisis seen in many American cities. The added density is by-right, complying with deeper affordability bonuses to increase area and height restrictions. 50% of all the units will be rented to families making 60% of the average median income, yet all the units achieve quality access to light and views, durable and healthy materials, and a shared sense of community through design.
